Nasreen Quibria is the Founder and Managing Director of Q insights, and a recognized payments industry expert. Her focus encompasses the financial ecosystem, spanning disruptive emerging technologies (bitcoin, blockchain, NFC) in the consumer space to corporate treasury, cash management, bank transformation and payment market infrastructure modernization efforts – areas she also covered as a former senior industry analyst and as an executive consultant with prominent firms.
Quibria has a track record of leading successful initiatives in the financial services and technology industries. She was instrumental in redefining the direction of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) as director of payments, as well as a key architect of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Emerging Payments Research Group (EPRG). As a senior payments strategy consultant, and part of the Leadership Exchange program of the Federal Reserve System, Quibria provided consultancy services to the prestigious Financial Services Policy Committee (FSPC) and the Federal Reserve Board working on high visible initiatives.
Prior to the Fed, as director of product development and management at Eliza Corporation she played a pivotal role in transforming a former start-up company specializing in pioneering phone-based, speech-enabled outreach in healthcare into a profitable business. During her tenure at Eliza, Quibria became the co-inventor on two patents in artificial intelligence focused on user adaptive behavior.
Quibria holds a BA in economics from Wellesley College and an MBA in finance and strategy from Boston College.
