013 - mobile payments 2Am I the only one who hasn’t fallen under Apple Pay’s spell? It’s not just that it’s not available to those who don’t own an iPhone nor that the tap and pay NFC (near field communication) technology can’t be used at most point-of-sale (POS) devices. While reports of consumers linking their debit and credit cards to Apple Pay are high, repeat usage figures are less impressive, with only about half of the numbers.

Insights + Intel from PAYMENTS 2015 New Orleans – Part II

In my last post in this two-part series on the 2015 NACHA Annual Conference, I highlighted topical sessions from PAYMENTS 2015.

Beyond the educational content, there were many informal dialogues in the sidelines of the conference. Likewise, the exhibit hall had constant and flowing foot traffic. Although no particular stand stood out from my perspective, I was definitely drawn to one particular booth – Linked2Pay. Maybe it’s because the kid in me loves the cartoons, or perhaps it’s the value proposition with business-to-business (B2B) payments, but it’s a company to check out.
